An Islamabad-region bill that shows separate peak and off-peak readings needs two comparisons. For each register, subtract the previous reading from the current one and compare that result with the units on the corresponding bill line. Use the meter multiplier if one is shown.
Open the official IESCO bill and keep the copy for the billing period you want to check.
Find the category on IESCO’s tariff guide
IESCO publishes a tariff guide that distinguishes residential and other categories and shows where time-of-use pricing applies. Use the category recorded on your own bill. If it has only one energy register, a neighbour’s two-register calculation may not fit it.
NEPRA’s IESCO tariff records include notification S.R.O. 45(I)/2026, listed on 13 January 2026. Treat it as a dated starting point and check later notifications or adjustments for the period on your bill.
When checking a historical charge, use the schedule effective in that billing period. A fixed charge may use a different unit of measurement from the energy lines. Keep the kW and kWh columns separate in your notes.
For help reading the schedule, use the national electricity tariff guide. To check your arithmetic, put the figures printed on the bill into the bill arithmetic checker.
Find another electricity company if the name on your bill differs.
