Ask anyone in Faisalabad what the most annoying part of the month is and a fair number will say the same thing: the bill arrives late, or doesn't arrive at all, and by the time you notice, the due date is two days away.
FESCO covers a huge stretch — Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Chiniot, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khushab. That's a lot of meters and a lot of meter readers, and paper delivery being imperfect is just a reality of the system.
Which is why doing this online is the sensible move.
Sabse Pehle: Reference Number
Fourteen digits. Printed at the top-left of your FESCO bill under Reference No.
You'll usually see it broken into chunks with spaces. Ignore the spaces — type it as one continuous string.
If you have literally no bill in the house, your options are:
- The stub from the bank or the Easypaisa shop where you last paid
- A relative or previous tenant who might have a photo of an old bill
- Your nearest FESCO sub-division office, with your CNIC and the meter number from the meter box
That last one works but it costs you a morning. Save the number this time.
FESCO Bill Online Check Karne Ka Tarika
Two routes, both fine.
Route one — the central portal. Head to bill.pitc.com.pk, choose FESCO from the list of distribution companies, punch in your reference number, search. PITC hosts bills for most DISCOs on one system, so this is often the fastest and least congested option.
Route two — FESCO's own site. fesco.com.pk has a bill enquiry page that does the same job. It's the official source. It also tends to slow down noticeably during the peak billing window in the middle of the month, when everyone in Faisalabad is checking simultaneously.
Either way, the result is your full bill on screen — barcode, due date, units, arrears, the lot.
Bill not showing up? Run through this before assuming something's broken:
One digit wrong is the most common cause by a mile. Re-read the reference number character by character. Second most common: the current month hasn't been generated for your sub-division yet. Billing dates aren't uniform across the region, so a few days' patience often solves it. Third: the connection was disconnected or transferred and the record moved.
FESCO Duplicate Bill Download
This is the part people overthink.
There is no application form. There is no fee. The bill you just opened online is your duplicate bill, and it's accepted everywhere the paper one is.
Save it as a PDF rather than a screenshot. Screenshots crop, compress, and occasionally chop a corner off the barcode without you noticing until the shopkeeper's scanner refuses to read it.
If you're printing, print full size. Don't let the printer "fit to page" and squash the barcode down — that's the single most common reason a printed duplicate won't scan.
Bill Mein Kya Dekhna Chahiye
The total is the number everyone looks at. These are the numbers worth looking at.
Units consumed. Present reading minus previous reading. That's the whole basis of your bill.
The actual meter. Walk outside. Look at the digits on the meter itself. Compare with the "present reading" on the bill. If the bill's reading is meaningfully higher than what the meter shows, you were billed on an estimate, not a real reading. Estimated readings are the number one cause of overbilling complaints across FESCO's region, and they are entirely fixable — but only if you catch them.
Detection bill. If this line appears, FESCO has assessed that some consumption went unrecorded. It's disputable. Do it in writing, and do it fast.
Arrears. Paid last month and still seeing arrears? Payments can take a few working days to post, especially around weekends and public holidays. If it survives into the next cycle, take your receipt to the SDO.
FPA — Fuel Price Adjustment. This changes every single month and is set nationally, not by FESCO. It's the reason two months with identical usage can produce different bills. Nothing you can do, but at least the mystery is solved.
Due date and the after-due-date amount. The gap between them is your late surcharge. On an industrial or commercial connection in Faisalabad that difference gets serious fast.
Faisalabad Ke Bahar Bhi Wohi Process
Searches like fesco bill online check faisalabad are common because Faisalabad is the headquarters. But the process doesn't change if you're in Sargodha, Jhang, Chiniot, Khushab, Bhakkar or Mianwali.
Same portal. Same 14-digit format. Same steps.
What does change is which sub-division office handles your physical complaints — and your bill prints that sub-division name on it, so you're never guessing.
Payment Ke Raaste
Bank counters give you a stamped stub, which remains the strongest proof of payment there is. Worth the queue if there's any chance you'll need to argue later.
Easypaisa and JazzCash accept the barcode straight off your phone screen or a printout. Every major bank app — HBL, UBL, Meezan, Alfalah, Bank of Punjab — carries FESCO in its utility bills section. Raast transfers work. Some ATMs handle utility payments too.
Whatever you use, keep the confirmation. Not for a day. For a couple of months.
FESCO Complaint Aur Helpline
118 is the round-the-clock complaint number covering FESCO. Load-shedding queries, faults, meter problems, billing disputes — all of it. Keep your reference number in front of you when you call; it's the first question.
For billing disputes I'd genuinely push you toward the written or online complaint route rather than the phone. You get a complaint number out of it, and that number is what you quote a week later when nothing has moved. A phone conversation leaves no trace.
If the complaint stalls, the escalation path is SDO office, then XEN office, then FESCO customer services at head office in Faisalabad.
Bring evidence. Six months of past bills showing a steady consumption pattern, followed by one outlier month, makes your case more effectively than any amount of explaining. If you believe the meter itself is faulty, you can formally request meter testing — there's a nominal fee, refundable if the meter turns out to be defective.
Ek Chhoti Si Aadat
Check the bill online around the 8th to the 12th, before the paper copy shows up.
Those extra days matter. They give you room to spot an estimated reading, question a detection charge, or simply arrange the money — instead of discovering a problem the evening before the due date when every office is shut.
It takes two minutes a month. It's the cheapest insurance in the house.
